Velvets are certainly one of our most delicate and agreeable slipcoverfabrics, it's anything but difficult to go gaga for their delicate, glossy surface and that sparkle they provide for the love seat. I completely love the fleecy sentiment of velvets however they are increasingly inclined to wearing with overwhelming utilization and requires progressively fragile consideration.

Washing: Most synthetic velvets labelled as washable should not be machine washed. They are very delicate and should be hand washed gently in cold water with little soap flakes. Of course, with the advanced technology nowadays, there are washing machines that have a “hand-wash” cycle and are ideal for maintaining upholstery fabric though without guaranteeing the same gently as washing by hand. If your fabric is too heavy, it is recommended that you consult a professional cleaner.

Ironing and Drying: Never iron velvets to make them dry. Use a clothe brush instead to restore the nap while it dries slowly. If the shimmer is lost, you can use a steamer to bring back the signature shine.

Spot Cleaning: If your velvet fabric covers are stained, it is recommended that you treat them before washing failure to which it might result to the stain setting and ruining the nap of the velvet and you would be left with a patch of inconsistent nap on your sofa. Utilize a fabric hosed in tepid water and spot the stain tenderly, climbing and down. Spot with an evaporate material to clear an overabundance water. In the wake of attempting to evacuate the stain, on the off chance that despite everything it has all the earmarks of being there, it's best left to the laundry.
